Furry 5K 2008
We ran the Furry 5K to benefit the Seattle Animal Shelter today. Chris Charles won the race with his Golden Retriever, Carlo. I ran with Walter the Dachshund and came in just under 20 minutes...which is pretty damn impressive for a little Doxy with stubby legs. Saffy and Elizabeth walked with Saffy's good pals Amber, Zoe, and Ellie.

OH HELL YEAH!!!!! Dave, you handled my wiener like a pro. I am so damn impressed with all of you.
Haha...if you were I dude I'd be concerned with a comment like that. Walter was hilarious and made so many people laugh as we ran by. People were stunned to see a Dachshund run that fast. When we got to about 2.25 miles he was completely out of gas and sat down. For a moment I thought I'd have to carry him, but then another dog ran by and off he went. If I'd paced him a bit better at the beginning I think we'd have gone much faster.
